“When I can take a piece of land or an old building and turn it into homes for those who are less fortunate, that's what it's all about – that's my passion.”
JAY FIOLA
General Superintendent
Jay is a General Superintendent at Marathon Construction & Development who works with the construction project management team.
Jay has always enjoyed building things, taking them apart and putting them back together. After Jay bought his first home at only 21 years old, the home improvement and renovation projects piqued his interest in homebuilding. After this, Jay went on to purchase and fully remodel two additional homes. Jay comes to Marathon Construction & Development with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He started working in the construction industry in 1998 as a Carpenter and has also assumed the roles of Assistant and Lead Superintendent.
Jay combines his expertise in construction with his personal knowledge of the home building process to bring his client's dreams to life. He works closely with many members of the construction team to make sure all aspects of a project are taken into consideration to ensure a smooth building process. Jay is passionate about taking raw pieces of land, or run down buildings, and turning them into housing developments that serve less fortunate families- giving them a place to call home.
One of Jay's proudest moments was being appointed Lead Superintendent on a project in Cambridge, Massachusetts called Finch Cambridge . Finch Cambridge was the first 100% affordable housing multifamily building in the state of Massachusetts back when it was constructed in 2018. Finch Cambridge went on to win many awards upon completion of the project such as the 2021 Excellence in Sustainability Award and the Silver Award for Best Affordable Community in 2020.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time at his home in New Hampshire that he built from the ground up.
