Marathon Construction Launches Expanded Development Arm, New Logo, New Website

Boston (January 10, 2022) – Marathon Construction, a longtime industry leader across and beyond New England, is expanding its Marathon Development wing and launching a new look, a new logo and a new website – MarathonNE.com.

“The expansion of Marathon Development strengthens our community-focused purpose, regenerating our neighborhoods and empowering our residents,” said Harry Angevine, Marathon CEO. “With the need for affordable housing hitting crisis levels, I’ve seen a strong need for a full-service company that can not only develop new, but rapidly redevelop existing properties into multifamily housing in partnership with supportive services agencies to ensure the families succeed in their new homes.”

Marathon’s current projects include the Copley Chambers in Providence, redeveloping 206 Broad Street into supportive housing. The firm has led a number of signature projects in recent years, including:

·       Renovating the historic Rockville Mill in Hopkinton, R.I. into supportive housing

·       Reimagining The Arcade in Providence into a modern residential and commercial facility

·       Redesigning and adding a world-class spa to the historic Mayflower Inn in Washington, Ct.

Marathon’s new website and logo were created by Gill Fishman Design, one of Greater Boston’s leading design firms.

“I’m a builder at heart and it’s hard to pull my attention off the job site, but even I recognized the need to modernize our look to convey that putting up buildings is only one aspect of what we do – we’re here to build partnerships across our community and leave a lasting legacy of progress,” said Harry Angevine.

Founded in 1998 on the principles of entrepreneurial ingenuity, client service, and industry-leading practices, Marathon is committed to sustainable building, superior project management, and community support. As a full-service company, Marathon offers a variety of strategic and operational services including cooperative consulting, space planning and design, project construction and development, budget management, financial advisement, and much more. Marathon prioritizes partnering with contractors who are diverse in background, ideas, and experiences.
